In this video of Carrie and Rob’s Ford v Ferrari movie review, they discuss the highs and lows in a film that tells a story almost too amazing to be true following Carroll Shelby (played by Matt Damon) and his eccentric British race car driving friend, Ken Miles (played by Christian Bale) as they try to take-on Ferrari in the 1966 Le Mans… with a Ford car.
In addition, a great supporting cast of Jon Bernthal (as Lee Iacocca), Josh Lucas (as Leo Beebe), Tracy Letts (as Henry Ford II), Noah Jupe (Miles’s son, Peter) and Caitriona Balfe (Miles’s wife, Mollie).
Directed by James Mangold, this is his first feature since the 2017 Logan and reunites him and Bale from their collaboration on 3:10 to Yuma.
Matt Damon and Christian Bale have a lot of buzz around their performances possibly getting two Oscar nods in a head-to-head battle for Best Actor. With performances like these, it’s bound to draw lots of attention come awards season. We’ll tell you if you should race to see those performances or not in our video review.
