Discovering good movies, one bad movie at a time

Sometimes, no matter how much money the studios throw at it, a movie just fails. Sometimes, the studio throws a whole lot of money at it before it becomes clear that’s happening. And that’s how you get, not merely a garden-variety failure, but a bonafide flop, the sort of horrific financial disaster that gets discussed with a giggle of schadenfreude in the trade press and passed around as a cautionary tale for years to come. 2023 has been an especially ugly year for megaflops, contributing two contenders for the dishonor of being one of the biggest money loser of all time in The Flash and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which makes it perfect timing for Patreon Kelleson to pick our next assignment: our picks for the top 5 flops of all time! We’ll be looking at all the most notorious fiascos, boondoggles, and catastrophes that ever lit a massive pile on money on fire.
