I don’t know. Stop badgering me. I get that it’s crazy. I even tried to commiserate with my neighbor who hates TV about missing Coming to America and she literally tripped and fell in a ditch in shock. As she pulled herself off the ground, with a look of horror on her face, all she could say was “How in the WORLD have you never seen Coming to America?!”
Will Coming to America be my new favorite movie?
I wasn’t sure if I would love it, but I bet you were.
I was actually worried at a 33 year old Black comedy might not have aged well. Tell me, why has this aged so well?! This cast! The hair! The music! James Earle Jones! The jokes! The casual swearing! Spoiler: I just can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed this. Is it my favorite movie?
I’m going to watch it 10 more times to find out.
