I ordinarily hate to link to other people’s work with the simple instruction “go read this,” but sometimes I just can’t help myself. In this case, DarkSyde at Unscrewing the Inscrutable has an excerpt from an upcoming collection of DailyKos science diaries. It’s an essay tracing human ancestry back to the Big Bang in very layman-friendly terms, and although it’s really long, it’s the sort of science essay that makes me feel very proud to be part of the species that has made these discoveries about the world and how it works.
