Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

By far, the best reason I have for dreading Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls is the presence of George Lucas, the man who was able to make 2.5 completely awful Star Wars movies in the last nine years. Now, if you are like me, you consider that in the entire prequel trilogy, the one part that is genuinely great on the level of the first two films is the lightsaber duel at the climax of Revenge of the Sith. Perhaps you are aware that Lucas handed over the reigns for computer-storyboarding that scene to one of his friends who had expressed doubt over the computer storyboard technology – meaning, in a sense, that Lucas did not direct the best sequence in the prequel trilogy. Perhaps you are also aware that the man who did direct that sequence was Steven Spielberg.

If he could pull beauty from the wreckage of Lucas’s ego once, I pray that he can do it again. I’m going to know fairly soon.
